Stop stacking gage blocks. Set gages
in under a minute.
The Trimos HS series replaces gage block stacks with a continuous measuring scale — so setting a bore gage, beam gage, or micrometer takes seconds, not 15 minutes, with better accuracy every time.
Built for production floors where gage setup time adds up fast.
Any shop running bore gages, beam gages, or micrometers on large-scale parts knows the problem: setting those gages accurately and quickly is a constant friction point. The bigger the part, and the wider the size range, the more headaches when it comes to using gage blocks.
The HS series was designed specifically for manufacturers working with larger-scale parts (40" and up), where gage block stacks become impractical and measurement uncertainty from stacking becomes a real quality risk. Aerospace, oil and gas, heavy trucking, large-bore machining — these are the shops where an HS bench pays for itself quickly.
Because it's a standalone bench that runs on battery or power supply, the HS integrates directly onto the production floor without needing a dedicated lab environment or controlled temperature room.
Common concerns when using gage blocks for calibration
Stacking
Stacking twenty gage blocks to reach a 20" dimension takes time, care, and still introduces compounding uncertainty at every interface.
Large Blocks
Large gage block sets are expensive, fragile, and require their own careful storage and calibration schedule.
Different Operators
Different operators stack differently — resulting in inconsistent gage settings and subtle variation in parts that shouldn't vary.
Temperature Concerns
When production runs hot and gages need to be reset multiple times per shift, the 15-minutes-per-setup tax becomes a real throughput problem.
